Re: with regular waxing
I’ve been looking into different hair-removal methods lately, and one thing I didn’t fully appreciate before is how different sugaring can be from regular waxing. With sugaring, the paste is made from sugar, lemon, and water, and it’s removed in the direction of hair growth rather than pulling against it. There are also no strips involved, and the paste can be applied at close to body temperature. The technique itself is interesting because the direction of removal is intended to reduce unnecessary pulling and hair breakage. That doesn’t mean it will work the same way for everyone, but it seems worth considering for people who tend to deal with irritation or ingrown hairs after other hair-removal methods. I was comparing information about sugaring in New York and came across sugar waxing vs regular waxing. I’m not suggesting it as the only option, but it was useful for seeing how sugaring services are organized and where locations are available. For anyone trying to decide between the two methods, I think the most useful comparison is probably the actual technique rather than simply calling both “waxing.” Has anyone here tried sugar paste hair removal after using traditional waxing, and did you notice a difference in comfort, skin irritation, or ingrown hairs?
